Dental Staff

Dr. Macon Sapp received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Erskine College in 1986. During his high school and college days, he found that working in his father’s dental office doing jobs assigned to him by the staff to be a great source of interest, so after college he entered the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry to follow in his great-grandfather’s and father’s footsteps. At his graduation in 1990, he received the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award for his excellent knowledge, interest, and proficiency in the Science of General Dentistry. He was appointed as a volunteer Adjunct Assistant Professor in the department of Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry at the Dental School. He holds memberships in the prestigious American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. He is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, and was invited to join in the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry in 1999. Dr. Macon’s passions are his patients, his dental practice, and his two daughters, Ali and Mary Macon. He enjoys biking, fishing, weight training, and working in his yard at home. The opportunity to practice with his father for the last 23 years has afforded him an opportunity to enjoy the practice of dentistry in a special way that is not experienced by many other dentists.

Angela joined our dental practice in 2004 as well, bringing with her experience from 10 years of pediatric dentistry. Her lovely smile and confident manner helps her demonstrate exceptional patient care skills with both adults and children. Angela lives in Prospect Hill with her husband, Kevin, and three beautiful children, where they are very active and involved with their church, baseball, and softball. Angela loves spending time with her family and helping people in her small town community.

Kelly originally joined our practice in 2001 and graced us all with 8 years of joy and laughter until her husband’s job took her to Seattle, Washington, all the way across the country. She lived in Seattle for 3 years, where they had their daughter Ella Dean. We were so happy to hear she would be moving back to our area. Since moving back, Kelly and her husband Jeffrey have added another beautiful daughter, Izzy, to their family. It is wonderful to have Kelly back with us to share her infectious laughter and love with the patients.

Rachel Lovelace joined H.T. Macon Sapp, DDS in 2004 and has fit into both the clinical and administrative departments beautifully with confidence and enthusiasm. Her winning smile and cheerful disposition make her a valuable asset to welcome patients at the front desk. She brightens everyone’s day and enjoys interacting with our patients to make them feel confident and secure with their proposed dental treatment. Rachel and her husband, Jereme, are the proud parents of their son Miles and daughter Eliza. When she is not at work or spending time with her family, she enjoys wakeboarding, cooking, interior design, and all things creative.

Tanya is the office manager and has been with the dental practice since 2014. She has a very pleasant demeanor and adds a sweet and welcoming smile to our practice. Tanya loves spending time with her husband Donald and keeps busy with her daughter Baylee’s ball and dance.  We are very happy to have her on board with our dental team to provide you with the highest quality of dental care.
